I am a PhD Candidate in Philosophy at Stanford University. My research focuses on political philosophy, 19th Century philosophy, and the philosophy of race. I am writing a dissertation under the supervision of Debra Satz, Leif Wenar, Wendy Salkin, and Juliana Bidadanure.
My research concerns different modes of economic domination — unjust forms of social power enshrined in relations of ownership and control. In my work on contemporary political philosophy, I write about the neo-republican theory of domination and its implications for political economy. In my work on the history of political thought, I write about G.W.F. Hegel’s philosophy of slavery and its reception, especially among post-colonial theorists.
